Celebrate life spell
"Happy Birth day to you" was first published on this day in 1924. Time to throw yourself and your friends a celebration of life spell! Have each person invited bring a picture of themself when they were young and any others from important times of their life. Place the pictures on the altar and while calling the directions, say:

From our beginning to our end, we celebrate our lives and our achievements.

Great Goddess, we give thee thanks for all the lessons learned, all the richness of experience and the joys bestowed upon us.

May our life continue to be a celebration of lie. Blessed be.

Later, have each person write a secret wish on a birthday card and place them in a sealed envelope. In the next year to come, revisit these wishes with your friends, opening the cards and sharing stores. End the celebration with a birthday cake.

Doll Festival
Today is Hina-matsuri, the Japanese Doll Festival. Girls in Japan lay out a red cloth and arrange dolls that represent the Emperor and Empress, their attendants, the girl's own ancestors and other worthy personages. These displays can be simple or quite elaborate. Dolls represent the past, both in terms of your own childhood and your ancestors. Did you play with dolls or action figures in your youth? Which were your favorites, and why? Did you imagine that your dolls could move or talk? Sometimes spirit guides or other guardians take the form of a doll so they can interact with children. Honor the dolls of your past by displaying them or pictures of them. If you can afford it, buy a nice doll for a needy child who might not otherwise have one.

Day of knowledge
Knowledge is one of your most important tools of growth. Those who oppose growth want to keep knowledge out of our reach. Everyone has the right to take a day off occasionally to appease the hunger of the mind. Instead of taking a "sick day" take today as a "well day". Use the day to indulge and improve your mind. Go to the library or the book store. Take your time and browse. Pick whatever book appeals to you most, especially if it is something you wouldn't normally read. Spend the rest of the day reading your book in a quiet space, such as the library, an almost-empty cafe, a park, or curled up in your favorite chair, you can dedicate the day to Hypatia, a woman who taught mathematics, astronomy, and astrology in ancient Greece; Athena, the goddess of wisdom; or the muses. Your will return to the world tomorrow refreshed.

Bathe time spellcraft
Both the Sun and Moon are in Pisces today. Why not take a magical bath? Baths are both physically ans spiritually cleansing, and are essential fo any Witch or magician. Bathing is purifying on many levels, and the ritual of bathing can quite easily become a magical act. This evening plan to take a magical bath. Take to gather certain salts, oils, and herbs (perhaps put these in a muslin bag) to add to the bathwater. You may wish to chose a natural food coloring to add to the water or use "Colour Bath," which is sold in many metaphysical stores. Choose some candles, the colors of which should be aligned with your metaphysical purpose of the ritual. Choose also some incense that is spiritually aligned. As you lay down in the warm water, say something like: " I now enter the warm and cleansing womb of the Great Goddess. I enter sacred space to purify my body and mind." Follow this with a ritual, meditation, or some resonating chant, you may wish to call upon spirits healing, connect to the undines, or cleanse and realign your chakras.

Mardi Gras (fat Tuesday)

Mardi Gras New Moon

This year Mardi Grass falls on the New Moon. The new moon is a time for manifesting all the positvie things that you would wish to have in your life. Here is a spell that incorporates the traditional Mardi Gras colors of purple for justice, green to represent faith, and gold to represent power. For this spell you will need one purple candle, one green candle, one gold candle (any sizes or shape) and three candleholders. Line up the candles and drape Mardi Gras beads and coins around them. Once you have things arranged as you like, light the candles and repeat the charm:

This year, Mardi Gras has
fallen on a new moon night,

And now i cast this spell,
with magic and candlelight.

The purple candle brings
justice with all possible speed,

While the green candle
renews my faith, in my time of need.

The golden candle is burned
for power, may it shine so bright.

Let the good times roll, with
harm to none, on this Mardi Gras night.

Allow the candles to burn out in a safe place.

Ok well on here im gonna try and do my best to post a spell a day on here for who ever reads this.

Vanishing spell

Using a pencil, write on small strips of paper several things you want to be rid of in you life. These can be bad habits, specific troubles, debt, etc. When you've finished writing, place the papers in a dish of water and chant:
Water, water take away
These things that i must keep at bay.

Allow the paper to soak until the words have vanished. Then pour the water on the ground or into a potted plant and bury the strips of pater.
